Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Kickoff Calendar (https://kickoff.guide, the "Service"), operated by Popaz Co. ("we", "us", "our"). By using the Service you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Scope

These Terms apply to every interaction between us and any user of the Service. Any guidelines, notes, or supplementary rules we publish on the Service form part of these Terms.

2. Formation of the agreement

A binding agreement between you and us is formed when you register an email address and complete first sign-in via the magic link we send, thereby accepting these Terms.

3. Account

  • The Service is open to anyone, but if you are under 18 you must obtain the consent of a parent or legal guardian before using it.
  • One person, one account. You may not transfer, lend, or share your account with anyone else.
  • The email address you register must be one you currently control.
  • If you discover unauthorized use of your email or account, contact us promptly.

4. Pricing and payment

Free plan

Free of charge. Includes one favorite team, the next 5 matches as a rolling window, and either league fixtures or cup fixtures (not both).

Pro plan (annual)

  • Price: $9 USD per year
  • Payment: by credit card via an external payment processor
  • Billing cycle: charged once at signup; thereafter billed automatically on each renewal date.

5. Cancelling Pro

You can cancel Pro at any time from the customer portal provided by our payment processor. Because Pro is paid annually, you keep Pro features for 365 days from your most recent payment even after cancelling. After that period, your feed automatically scales back to the Free shape (one team, next five matches) at the next calendar fetch.

Given the digital nature of the Service, refunds are not generally available. If a defect is attributable to us, contact us and we'll figure out the right resolution case-by-case.

6. The Service

Kickoff Calendar is a subscription web service that publishes the match schedules of your selected football teams as an ICS subscription feed, which Google Calendar, Apple Calendar, Microsoft Outlook, and other calendar apps can subscribe to.

  • Match data is sourced from external sports data providers.
  • We refresh the underlying feed once per day (at 00:00 UTC) on our servers.
  • Each calendar app refetches the feed on its own schedule (up to ~24 hours), so changes you make may not appear immediately.
  • We deliberately omit live scores and final results from calendar events to avoid spoilers.

7. Prohibited conduct

You may not, in connection with the Service:

  • Violate applicable law or public morality
  • Engage in or facilitate criminal acts
  • Infringe on our or third parties' intellectual property, publicity, privacy, reputation, or other rights
  • Interfere with the operation of the Service (excessive requests, reverse engineering, exploiting vulnerabilities, etc.)
  • Publicly distribute, sell, or redistribute your personal feed URL
  • Resell or redistribute the match data we provide without our prior written permission
  • Access the Service through unauthorized means or another's account
  • Engage in any conduct we reasonably consider inappropriate

8. AI chat

The AI chat feature relies on an external generative AI provider to answer football-related questions. Please understand that:

  • Responses may contain errors. We do not guarantee accuracy of any AI-generated content.
  • The chat will not answer questions outside of football.
  • Free / unauthenticated users get 3 turns per session; Pro users get 50 turns per month.
  • Your input is held only for the lifetime of the session and is not persisted.

9. Calendar sync

Our responsibility is limited to publishing the ICS subscription feed. The behavior, display, fetch interval, and notification semantics of the calendar apps you subscribe with (Google Calendar, Apple Calendar, Microsoft Outlook, etc.) are governed by their respective providers, and we are not responsible for them.

10. Intellectual property

Copyright and other intellectual property rights in the content, logos, text, and design that constitute the Service belong to us or to the rightful third party. You may not copy, distribute, modify, or republish them beyond what is reasonably required for personal, non-commercial use of the Service.

The names and crests of football clubs and competitions shown in the Service belong to their respective owners. We display them only within the bounds of news / informational use customary for a service of this kind.

11. Disclaimer

  • We make no warranty, express or implied, regarding the accuracy, timeliness, usefulness, safety, fitness for a particular purpose, or freedom from errors or downtime of the Service.
  • Match schedules, standings, and any league-page URLs depend on external data and may change, contain errors, or be delayed. Please confirm broadcast / streaming details against official sources too.
  • We are not responsible for sync failures, layout glitches, or missed reminders that occur on the calendar app side.
  • We are not liable for any damages you may suffer from using the Service except where such damages are caused by our willful misconduct or gross negligence.

12. Modification, suspension, termination

We may modify the Service without prior notice. We may also suspend or stop all or part of the Service for maintenance, incidents, force majeure, or other unavoidable reasons. If we discontinue the Service entirely, we'll give you reasonable advance notice.

13. Limitation of liability

If we are liable to you for damages, our aggregate liability is capped at the total fees you paid for the Service during the 12 months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the liability.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as needed. For material changes we'll notify you in-product or by email. Updated Terms take effect when posted on the Service. If you do not agree with the updated Terms, you can terminate your use by deleting your account.

15. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms and any disputes arising from your use of the Service are governed by the laws of Japan. The Numazu Branch of the Shizuoka District Court has exclusive jurisdiction as the court of first instance.
